Leland Gazo

Playing career:  
Gazo played for Nordic from 2007-2016. Captained his Nordic team from 2010-2016 where his team won state cup 4 times, and was ranked among the top 20 in Region 1 and top 50 teams nationally. In 2013, Gazo had a trial at Serie A side Parma F.C in Parma, Italy. In 2016 Gazo was selected for the ODP international trip to Germany with the ODP Region 1 team. From 2013-2016, Gazo played high school soccer at Rice Memorial HS where he won 2 state championships and was selected NSCAA All-American, Gatorade Player of the Year and Burlington Free Press Player of the year his senior season in 2016. Gazo just came of a strong season locally at Saint Michael's College where he captained his side to 4 shutouts as a Sophomore. Gazo plays for Black Rock F.C in the USL league 2 out of Connecticut during the summer months. Since 2012, Gazo has been trained by Nordic Goalkeeper Coach Lou Stazi and credits his success largely to Lou.

Coaching career:
Informally, Gazo has ran personal session for several goalkeepers since 2012. Gazo started his coaching career in 2015 with Nordic as a goalkeeper coach. He joined the Olympic Development Program as a Goalkeeper coach in 2016, and assisted in coaching the Vermont ODP U12 team in 2016. He looks to continue his coaching experience, and hopes to attain his first coaching certifications soon.
Gazo studies Political Science at Saint Michael's College.
