Marcel Choquette, will be coaching the Nordic 14 Premier Girls for the 2nd consecutive year after guiding them to their first State Cup victory in 2008. Choquette is also the winningest coach in St Michael's Womens Soccer program history, entering his 10th season at the helm of the program in 2008.

In just six years, Choquette became the winningest coach in school history, matching the previous record of 52. Despite competing in the heavily talented Northeast-10 Conference, Choquette has guided his teams to six 500-or-better seasons (including an 8-7-3 record in 2007), including five straight from 2000-04, and three consecutive winning campaigns from 2000-02. In addition, his teams' list of achievements include: most wins in a season, most goals in a season, most assists in a season, most total points in a season, three consecutive conference tournament appearances, and the program's first ever bid to the ECAC Division II Tournament. He has the second-highest winning percentage of any women's soccer coach in program history (.479, 72-79-12).

Choquette came to Saint Michael's from nearby Missisquoi Valley Union High School where he taught Physical Education and served as the Director of Athletics and Head Coach for the girl's soccer program. In addition to 12 years of experience in public education, he also had coaching stints at Norwich University and Lyndon State College. In addition to his work experience, he holds a Master's degree in Athletic Administration, and an Advance National Coaching Diploma from the NSCAA and is a New England ODP Regional staff coach.

Choquette's playing experience includes a four-year college career at Lyndon Sate College where he was a three-time All-Conference selection, and an All-New England and All American candidate. He is still among the school record holders for career points, career goals, and career assists. He has also played professionally, most recently with the Vermont Wanderers (Voltage). Along with his coaching duties, Choquette has administrative duties in the Athletic Department, including Intramural Director and Director of Summer Sports Camps. He presently resides in Milton.

Coach: Jesse Cormier Leadership, Organization, and Vision

His personal philosophy can be summed up by his respect and reverence for the sport and what a great teacher of life it can be for all involved. He has brought together this incredible staff to follow through on this philosophy and help build passion for the sport of soccer in the community and throughout the state. A 1995 graduate of the University of Vermont, was named Vermont's seventh head men's soccer coach on February 12, 2004.

In 2005, Cormier guided the Catamounts to an 11-5-3 overall record and a fourth place finish in the America East. Vermont was ranked in the NSCAA National Poll six out of nine weeks during the regular season and went 2-0-1 against ranked opponents. A former standout with the Catamounts, Cormier is the first UVM alum to be named the team?s head coach. He returned to Vermont after serving as an assistant coach and associate head coach at Oregon State. During his time in Corvallis, he helped lead the Beavers to the most successful three-year run in school history and was promoted to associate head coach in 2003.

Prior to his tenure at Oregon State, Cormier was an assistant coach at West Virginia (2000) and Bradley (1997-99). During Cormier's coaching career, he has spent seven seasons at three of the nation's top rated soccer conferences (Pac-10, Missouri Valley, Big East). A native of Hoosick Falls, NY, Cormier earned his master's degree in leadership and human services at Bradley in 1999. He holds a NSCAA Advanced National Diploma and a USSF B Coaching License.

Cormier had a solid playing career at Vermont (1991-94). He ranks sixth in career points (59) and is tied for sixth all-time in goals (24). A regular for Coach Ron McEachen from the start of his career, he earned a spot on the America East All-Championship Team as a sophomore in 1992, leading Vermont to the conference title game. He led the team in scoring as a senior (9-3--21) and following the season he earned All-New England honors and was selected as the team's most valuable player. Cormier received his bachelor's degree in history from Vermont. Following graduation, Cormier went on to play professionally in the United States and overseas before beginning his coaching career. Cormier and his wife, Amy, have three children, a son Kai, and daughters Parrish and Jazaher. They reside in Shelburne.
